Abstract

The article focuses on the copyediting of classic literature, specifically highlighting common errors in Tarzan of the Apes (1912) by Edgar Rice Burroughs, and demonstrates the application of The Chicago Manual of Style, to correct subtle grammatical, spelling, and usage mistakes. It provides a passage describing Kala's efforts to protect and care for little Tarzan after a violent encounter with a bull gorilla, and annotates ten specific errors in the text.
