Abstract
Anneli Loepp Thiessen has won the George Proctor Prize for her graduate student paper on women's musical authority in the Christian music industry. Benjamin Brody, a past president, was interviewed about writing hymn tunes, and Alan Hommerding was interviewed about his work as a text writer and catechesis. J. Richard Watson celebrated his ninetieth birthday, and Deanna Witkowski defended her doctoral dissertation on jazz in Sunday worship. Mark Porter's new book on music, faith, and ecological crisis has been published, and Geoffrey Moore, Darrell St. Romain, and Lisa Hancock led an event celebrating LGBTQ+ persons through hymns and songs.
