Abstract

Tropical Storm Debby is currently moving through Georgia and South Carolina, bringing heavy rain and the potential for flooding and tornadoes. Flood watches and warnings are in effect across the Carolinas, and rivers in the region are rising rapidly. As a result, nearly 162,000 customers are without power in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. The US Southeast has experienced several storms in recent years that have caused widespread flooding and damage. Debby is expected to continue moving through the South before reaching the East Coast and becoming a tropical depression off the coast of Maine by Sunday. [Extracted from the article]
