Abstract

The article discusses the men in the life of Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Topics discussed include Tchaikovsky's early gay experiences from 1850 to 1859, the influence of his romantic and sexual life with men on his compositions and the profiles of some of the men in his life including valet Aleksey Sofronov, architect Ivan Klimenko and singer and poet Vladimir Shilovsky.
