Abstract
The article focuses on the opening of the Louis Armstrong Center in Corona, Queens, New York, a 14,000 square-foot facility dedicated to preserving and presenting the legacy of jazz musician Louis Armstrong. Curated by pianist Jason Moran, the center features the "Here to Stay" exhibition and draws from a 60,000-piece collection organized by Michael Cogswell at Queens College. The Armstrong Corona campus includes Armstrong's historic home, garden, performance spaces, and interactive events, with archives accessible by appointment or online. The center was inspired by Armstrong's wife, Lucille Armstrong, and aims to engage the public through music, education, and cultural preservation.
