Abstract

The article discusses resources for history teachers and students about the perspectives of Australia's First Nations people when they encountered and engaged with early explorers. Topics discussed include explorers Matthew Flinders and William Dampier's encounters with First Nations people, the goal of the Global Encounters and First Nations People project and some of resources for community and educators including an interactive online map, illustrated children's books and online reports.
