Abstract
This article reviews the re-release of Bernard Foccroulle's complete recording of J. S. Bach's organ works, primarily recorded between 1982 and 1997. It highlights Foccroulle's distinguished career as a European organist, composer, and artistic director, and praises the recordings for their rhythmic stability, tasteful registrations, and use of a wide variety of mostly historic organs, including notable instruments in Freiberg, Groningen, and Ottobeuren. The review notes some variations in recording quality and playing style over the long project period, as well as the inclusion of lesser-known organs and works. Overall, the collection is described as an important and authentic testament to Bach's organ music and Foccroulle's artistry.
