Abstract
This article focuses on Vincent van Gogh's 1888 painting "The Red Vineyard," notable as possibly the only artwork he sold during his lifetime, purchased by Belgian painter and collector Anna Boch for 400 francs. Created during van Gogh's productive period in Provence, the painting reflects his vibrant style and depicts peasants harvesting grapes under an autumn sun, symbolizing both the beauty and urgency of the season. The work highlights van Gogh's connection to rural life and his focus on the struggles of working people in France shortly before his death.
