Abstract

A study conducted by researchers at Beijing Technology and Business University explores the relationship between team-level leader-member exchange (LMX), the instrumental use of artificial intelligence (AI), team psychological empowerment, and information systems development (ISD) team performance. The study, which collected data from 88 teams, found that instrumental AI use indirectly enhances ISD team performance by increasing team psychological empowerment. Additionally, team-level LMX moderates the effects of instrumental AI use on team psychological empowerment and ISD team performance.
