Abstract
A recent study conducted by Arizona State University explored the perspectives of public high school English teachers in Nepal on Global Englishes (GE). The research found that teachers in Nepal are aware of GE and believe that English in Nepal has distinct features influenced by American, British, and Indian Englishes, as well as local languages. The study also highlighted the teachers' interrogation of nativespeakerism and decentered ownership associated with Inner Circle Englishes. This peer-reviewed research sheds light on the importance of understanding diverse perspectives on English language education in different cultural contexts. [Extracted from the article]
