Abstract
This article from Native American Art Magazine highlights the work of Indigenous designer Lauren Good Day, who incorporates her Arikara Hidatsa heritage into her fashion designs. Good Day's collections feature beadwork, ledger drawings, and traditional regalia, which are transformed into prints and patterns on contemporary silhouettes. Her most recent collection draws inspiration from the traditional Ribbon Dress of the Mandan, Hidatsa, Arikara people. Good Day sees her work as a way to connect the stories of the past with contemporary Native cultures. [Extracted from the article]
