Abstract

To this end, we must first pursue a broad understanding of gender issues in Japan, seen in Japanese/organizational culture, gender/family communication, gender roles/expectations, and the legal system. Thus, to discuss gender issues in Japan and the Japanese diaspora, this special issue also includes an article on the language used among the Japanese gay community.
