Abstract

This article examines the entrepreneurial intention of social workers from majority (Jewish) and minority (Arab) groups in Israel, focusing on personal and organizational factors influencing their engagement in social entrepreneurship. The study found that while all social workers demonstrated high entrepreneurial intention, it was significantly lower among the minority group, who also showed lower levels of openness to experience and extraversion. Managerial position and training in social entrepreneurship were key factors increasing entrepreneurial intention in both groups, with risk-taking particularly relevant for minority social workers. The findings highlight the importance of tailored organizational support and entrepreneurship education to foster social entrepreneurship across diverse ethnic groups within multicultural societies.
