Abstract
The article focuses on ongoing investigations into X, Elon Musk's social media platform formerly known as Twitter, and its AI chatbot Grok, over allegations of harmful content generation, including sexually explicit deepfakes and Holocaust denial. French prosecutors, supported by Europol, conducted a search of X's offices and summoned Musk and former CEO Linda Yaccarino for hearings related to suspected algorithm abuse and illegal content involving minors. Concurrently, the U.K.'s Information Commissioner's Office and Ofcom are investigating Grok for producing non-consensual sexual imagery, prompting regulatory actions and legal reforms to criminalize such content. The European Commission has also launched a probe under the Digital Services Act, reflecting widespread concerns about AI-generated harmful content on the platform.
