Abstract
The article views terrorism investigations on campus as an encouragement for universities to discipline anti-Israel activism and suppress pro-Palestinian campus speech through intimidation. It considers the material support statute, the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation's counterintelligence program, for which the Anti-Defamation League lobbied for universities to investigate the activist group Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) as flawed from its inception. It also points out the absence of public evidence of coordination of any SJP student member with the Hamas militant group or any Foreign Terrorist Organization. The fear that student activism may targeted for federal criminal investigations is exacerbated by the White House's use of the term antisemitism.
