Abstract

The article considers the transformation of the disability disparities paradigm through interprofessional collaboration as a pathway to improvement in healthcare outcomes. Topics discussed include the state of disability within the Grand Challenges for Social Work and the social determinants of health frameworks, influence of the disability rights movement on the recognition of equal rights and access to services, and role of social work advocacy in transforming disability disparities paradigm.
