Abstract
The 85 Fund, a group associated with GOP fundraiser Leonard Leo, donated $103 million to conservative causes in 2022. These causes include opposition to diversity programs and medical care for transgender individuals. The 85 Fund is part of a network of conservative tax-exempt groups led by Leo, which do not disclose their donors. Leo has faced criticism for his role in shaping the Supreme Court's conservative majority and is currently under scrutiny for ethical scandals. The 85 Fund donated $92 million to DonorsTrust Inc., another group with ties to Leo, and also gave money to the Federalist Society and other conservative organizations. Leo's network is being investigated by the Washington DC Attorney General. [Extracted from the article]
