Abstract
The article focuses on former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro beginning house arrest after being discharged from the hospital due to health complications. Bolsonaro, 71, was serving a 27-year prison sentence for plotting a coup following the 2022 election, but a Supreme Court Justice allowed him to serve part of his sentence at home for 90 days to facilitate recovery. Previously, Bolsonaro had been hospitalized with pneumonia and had been detained in a prison complex in Brasilia after violating conditions of his initial house arrest. The judge indicated the possibility of reevaluating the house arrest arrangement after the 90-day period. [Extracted from the article]
