Abstract
The article focuses on examining Asian American teachers' lived experiences as former English learners in U.S. schools more than 50 years after Lau v. Nichols, revealing how educational policies and practices have continued to shape Asian invisibility. Topics include the impact of pan-ethnic labeling, experiences of language shame and bullying across schooling and teacher preparation, and the need for culturally responsive pedagogy to better support Asian American students and educators.
