Abstract
Residents in Granbury, Texas, have reported various health issues that they believe are connected to a nearby Bitcoin-mining facility. These symptoms include hypertension, heart palpitations, chest pain, vertigo, migraines, and panic attacks. While there have been no major medical studies on the effects of living near a Bitcoin mine, research has shown that prolonged exposure to noise pollution can lead to cardiovascular damage. The Bitcoin-mining industry is growing rapidly in the US, and some states are considering exempting Bitcoin mines from local zoning or noise ordinances. The situation in Granbury highlights the potential consequences of expanding cryptocurrency mining operations. [Extracted from the article]
