Abstract
This article focuses on Ryan Wedding, a former Canadian Olympic snowboarder who is now alleged to be the leader of a major international drug trafficking organization. Wedding faces multiple charges, including drug trafficking, money laundering, witness tampering, intimidation, and ordering the murder of a federal witness prepared to testify against him. The U.S. Department of Justice and Treasury have intensified efforts to capture Wedding, increasing the reward for information leading to his arrest and imposing financial sanctions to disrupt his network, which reportedly collaborates with the Sinaloa Cartel to import large quantities of cocaine into North America. Wedding is currently a fugitive believed to be hiding in Mexico, and law enforcement has arrested several associates in connection with his alleged criminal enterprise.
