Abstract

A state court recently declined to admit generative artificial intelligence-enhanced video as trial evidence in the case of Washington v. Puloka. The court ruled that the technology used to enhance the video was not widely accepted in the relevant scientific community. While the decision was supported by leaders of the ABA Litigation Section, they anticipate that courts may eventually accept similar technology in the future as it evolves and gains more acceptance.
