Abstract
The article focuses on a study conducted in Xuzhou, People's Republic of China, which investigates how high involvement work systems (HIWSs) can reduce time theft in the workplace. The research, funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Social Science Fund of China, utilizes a multilevel model based on social information processing theory. Findings indicate that HIWSs decrease employee time theft through psychological empowerment, with team-level organizational identification enhancing this effect. The study contributes to human resource management literature by identifying psychological empowerment as a key mediator in this relationship. [Extracted from the article]
