Abstract

The article discusses the benefit of legal recognition of same-sex marriage in Asia to physical and mental health of LGBTQ+ individuals. Topics include diversity of the legal landscape for sexual and gender minorities in Asia, physical and mental health disparities faced by LGBTQ+ people compared with their non-LGBTQ+ counterparts, and factors affecting the LGBTQ+ physical and mental health in Asia.
