Abstract
The Central European University, founded by George Soros, has relocated from Hungary to Vienna after being expelled by Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orban. The university has chosen a site near Vienna's main train station for its campus, following a temporary location in the Austrian capital. The move comes after a years-long battle between Soros and Orban, with the closure of the university in Hungary seen as an erosion of democratic norms. Construction on the new campus is set to begin in 2025, with plans to move in by the end of 2028. [Extracted from the article]
