Abstract

The article examines the historical and legal aspects of the Fourth Amendment exclusionary rule in the U.S. It traces its evolution, discusses why it's not a widely debated topic, and explores the problems associated with law enforcement operating in secrecy. It suggests bringing the exclusionary rule back into the public conversation and highlights its significance in safeguarding Fourth Amendment rights and deterring misconduct.
