Abstract

The High Court of Goa has nullified the summonses issued to Arvind Kejriwal, the National Convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), over a speech he made during the 2017 Assembly elections. The Election Commission had registered a complaint against Kejriwal, but the Goa High Court has now set aside the summons issued by the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) in Mapusa. The lawyer representing Kejriwal had requested more time to study the documents, and the matter is scheduled to be heard before the JMFC on February 12. [Extracted from the article]
