Abstract
This article focuses on a study examining the relationship between violent pornography consumption, rape myth endorsement, and sexually aggressive behavior among college students. Using an online survey of 903 participants, the study found that violent pornography prevalence predicted sexually aggressive behaviors in both men and women, with rape myth endorsement partially mediating this relationship for women. Non-violent pornography consumption did not influence sexually aggressive behavior, nor was rape myth endorsement a mediator in that context. The research also highlighted gender differences in consumption patterns, noting that men began watching pornography earlier than women. This preprint study has not yet undergone peer review.
