Abstract

The article discusses the impact of Right-to-Work (RTW) laws on workers' economic conditions and labor union activities in the United States. It highlights a study that utilizes hierarchical multilevel models to analyze longitudinal data from 2018 to 2023, revealing that RTW laws hinder unionization efforts and worsen material conditions for workers. The findings suggest that these laws contribute to economic precarity, increase the costs associated with collective organizing, and diminish the effectiveness of existing labor unions. The research emphasizes the complex relationship between sociopolitical structures and social group activities in addressing economic grievances. [Extracted from the article]
