Abstract

The article discusses the ongoing immigration crisis at the U.S.-Mexican border and the misconceptions surrounding it. It argues that the distinction between legal and illegal immigration has become less relevant due to the overwhelming number of migrants arriving at the border and the challenges they pose to communities and institutions. The article also addresses concerns about crime rates among immigrants and the role of smuggling networks in illegal immigration. It concludes by highlighting the historical complexities and contradictions in U.S. immigration policies. [Extracted from the article]
