Abstract
The article cites several U.S. court rulings that shaped the Endangered Species Act. The cases discussed include Tennessee Valley Authority v. Hill wherein conservationists opposed the construction of the Tellico Dam, Palila v. Hawaii Department of Land & Natural Resources wherein environmental groups argued on the destruction of woodland slopes by game animals, and Lujan v. Defenders of Wildlife wherein the group pursued its right to sue to enforce federal environmental statutes.
