Abstract

Former cryptocurrency firm FTX will begin paying its main creditors at the end of May with $11.4 billion in cash collected since its shutdown. Minor creditors have already started receiving payments, with the first payment to the main group scheduled for May 30. The company faces a large number of claims, including some that may be questionable or illegitimate, which need to be sorted through before all creditors can be paid. FTX filed for bankruptcy in November 2022 and won court approval for its payout plan in October. [Extracted from the article]
