Abstract
The article focuses on the team dynamics that contributed to the success of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in investigating and prosecuting Dominic Ongwen, a former commander of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) in Uganda. It highlights five key elements: a non-hierarchical team structure, inclusive and transparent communication, psychological safety, effective boundary spanning across different functional areas, and long-term planning. The author emphasizes that these dynamics fostered collaboration and creativity within the team, ultimately leading to a fair and efficient prosecution process, despite the complexities and uncertainties inherent in international criminal justice. The insights aim to enhance understanding of effective teamwork in this challenging field. [Extracted from the article]
