Oklahoma City and the Cost of Violence.

Abstract

The article reflects on the Oklahoma City bombing, one of the deadliest domestic terrorist attacks in American history, through the personal recollections of an Oklahoma native. The bombing, which occurred in 1995, resulted in the deaths of 168 people, including 19 children, and left hundreds injured. The perpetrator, Timothy McVeigh, was swiftly apprehended by law enforcement, and subsequently found guilty and sentenced to death.
