Abstract

The article explores the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in United States v. Skrmetti, in which the Court upheld Tennessee's ban on gender-affirming medical care for minors. Topics discussed include reasoning of the Court for permitting state restrictions on medical treatments for transgender youth, reason transgender minors (SB1) is not subject to heightened scrutiny, and comparison of the case with the cases Geduldig v. Aiello and Bostock v. Clayton County.
