Abstract

Following the immense pushback against the Drug Enforcement Administration's (DEA's) proposal to require patients prescribed buprenorphine via telemedicine to see a physician within 30 days, the agency, along with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), has temporarily extended full telemedicine prescribing of controlled substances.
