Abstract

The article focuses on how cargo thieves have taken advantage of the remote work trend due to the pandemic, using the internet and digital communication tools to engage in cargo theft, diverting cargo, ransomware attacks, and other forms of fraud, resulting in a significant increase in reported cargo thefts and losses in Canada and the U.S.
