Abstract

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has expressed the state government's commitment to supporting the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and working closely with it for the progress of the country and the state. This comes in response to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari's warning that the NHAI may cancel eight major highway projects in Punjab if the law and order situation does not improve. Mann clarified that the state government has been actively supporting the NHAI in land acquisition and other related matters, and that most NHAI projects in the state are on track. He also addressed concerns about land acquisition and stated that the state authorities are working to resolve any bottlenecks faced by the NHAI. [Extracted from the article]
