Abstract
A quasi-experimental study was conducted with 114 undergraduate nursing students in a community health nursing course. Students re ceived training from University Public Safety officers regarding response to an active shooter and participated in a 1-hour presentation, "Healthcare's Role in Preventing Gun Violence". Students in the intervention group gained knowledge and confidence to enable them to teach others. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
