Abstract

Competition law, Antitrust law, International relations, International antitrust law, International law, Globalization, K21, K33, International commerce First, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has aggressively questioned the view that economics must be the sole source of competition law norms and argued against the consumer welfare standard as its sole goal. For example, a common assumption within the US antitrust community is that the extensive experience with antitrust law in the US has combined with a highly sophisticated antitrust discourse to give its representatives a right perhaps even a moral obligation to promote its own vision of competition law.
