Abstract
The American Bar Association (ABA) has updated its Principles for Juries and Jury Trials to ensure the protection of jury trial rights and citizen participation in democracy. The updates cover important topics such as unanimity of jury verdicts, virtual trials, peremptory challenges, jurors and the internet, physical safety and psychological well-being of jurors, change of venue, implicit bias, and impeachment of verdicts.
