Abstract
This article reports on a cross-sectional study assessing the prevalence of depression, anxiety, stress, and sleep quality among 171 security guards employed by four hospital-associated security agencies in Bengaluru Urban District, Karnataka, India. The study found that 11.1% of guards exhibited depression, 14.6% reported anxiety, and 37.4% experienced stress, with a significant association between night duty and stress levels. Additionally, 15.2% of participants reported poor or fair sleep quality, and many had lifestyle-related health conditions such as obesity and hypertension.
