Abstract

The article offers a comparison between the 2024 Farm Bill and the 2018 Farm Bill. The previous Farm Bill, the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018, was extended until September 30, 2024, and for the 2024 crop year. The Farm, Food and National Security Act of 2024 (H.R. 8467) was introduced in 2021 and would authorize most existing programs through fiscal year 2029, with modifications to specific programs and funding levels. Policies and programs covered by the Farm Bill are mentioned.
