A daring daylight robbery occurred at a Bank of Maharashtra branch in Samastipur, Bihar, where eight armed robbers looted jewellery worth Rs 4.5 crore and Rs 15 lakh in cash. The robbers posed as customers and took bank employees and customers hostage at gunpoint, locking them in a room while they looted the bank counters and lockers.
