Abstract

The Journal of Supreme Court History features three articles and a set of book reviews, celebrating the fortieth anniversary of "The Judicial Bookshelf" column. Grier Stephenson, a regular contributor, has written insightful columns on numerous books, including reviews of works by Charles M. Cameron, Jonathan P. Kastellec, and Thomas R. Marshall in the latest issue. The articles by Gerard N. Magliocca and Helen J. Knowles-Gardner offer new insights into Justice Robert H. Jackson's concurrence and the NAACP v. Alabama case, respectively, providing valuable perspectives on legal history and Supreme Court decisions. The journal also includes an article by Ross E. Davies on the appointment of the Official Reporter of Decisions for the U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals during the 1890s, shedding light on the publication process of court decisions in the nineteenth century.
