Abstract
The US Supreme Court is likely to allow President Joe Biden's administration to regulate build-at-home "ghost gun" kits as firearms, according to justices during a recent hearing. The regulation, designed to address the issue of untraceable weapons, would subject gun kits to the same requirements as fully assembled firearms, including background checks and serial numbers. The regulation is being challenged by manufacturers and gun-rights supporters who argue that it expands the definition of a firearm beyond what was intended by the 1968 Gun Control Act. The case is similar to a previous ruling on bump stocks and does not involve the constitutional right to bear arms. [Extracted from the article]
