Abstract
West Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar fell ill after police fired tear gas shells to disperse BJP workers protesting outside the Kolkata Police headquarters. The protesters were seeking justice for the R.G. Kar rape and murder victim. The BJP leaders claim that the police attacked a peaceful demonstration, while the police state that they arrested 220 people who were planning to turn the protest violent.
