Abstract

Civil rights lawyers recently withdrew a lawsuit against President-elect Donald Trump, ending a four-year battle over his claims of voter fraud in the 2020 election. The lawsuit alleged that Trump's actions were aimed at disenfranchising Black voters. Despite the conclusion of this case, other legal challenges against Trump, including those related to the January 6th Capitol attack, are still ongoing. The plaintiffs in the voting rights case sought to restrict Trump and the Republican National Committee's actions in future contested elections, but the case was dismissed without prejudice, leaving room for similar claims in the future.
