Abstract
The article focuses on coordinated arson attacks carried out by military units under the Naypyidaw Command across northern Myingyan Township in Mandalay Region on 12 April, resulting in the destruction of five villages. According to local committees, villages such as Htain Pan and Ywar Thit suffered extensive damage, with most homes burned and communities largely deserted. The Naypyidaw Command reportedly deployed around 300 troops in three columns, conducting village burnings and drone attacks on displaced populations. Additionally, on 2 April, a Naypyidaw Command unit killed eight civilians and three defense force members in Phat Pin Ai village, an act described by the National Unity Government Human Rights Ministry as a mass killing and war crime.
