Abstract
The article reports a significant decline in vehicle thefts in Arizona, which fell by 25% in 2025, marking the lowest rate in decades and the third consecutive year of decrease. According to the Arizona Automobile Theft Authority's Auto Crime Tracker database, 12,686 vehicles were stolen in 2025, a reduction from 17,010 in 2024. The Chevrolet Silverado was the most stolen vehicle, followed by the Hyundai Elantra, Hyundai Sonata, Kia Soul, and GMC Savana. The majority of thefts occurred in major cities, with Phoenix reporting the highest number at 4,700, although all cities in the top 10 for thefts experienced significant decreases that year.
